Charlottesville Oriel Window

This beautiful window is an innovative architectural method to maximize the assets of  a grand staircase in tying the interior elements of two floors with an exterior  view. The classical proportions are both soft yet bold and balanced for the exterior and interior pleasure of occupants and guests.

The window is a built  example  of the power of imagination, experience and innovation from   design through implementation. The window is available in thermally broken steel or bronze, true divided lights with insulated low-e, low iron glass.

  • Minimum bending radius is 600 mm (24"), primarily due to the glass

  • Particularly narrow radii for the steel members are possible using advance annealing processes

  • Extremely small differences in dimensions ensure particularly smooth visible surfaces and finishes

  • Specific arched insulating bars provide precise matching radii for thermally-insulated window and door profiles

  • Energy calculations can be done by rational analysis

  • We highly recommend the use of an AIA Architect or a licensed structural engineer  in the planning and execution of this type of project.
